A Christmas Carol - Year 8

A Christmas Carol - Year 8

The Christmas Carol play was incredible! At the start, the house lights dimmed, anticipation built and the lights looked like real snowflakes. In the opening, instead of getting straight into the acting, they read the opening passage of the book which was very appropriate and clever. They put on a wonderful show with only three people and I loved how they handled the scene with two people under the ghost of Christmas present while Scrooge watches. I’ve heard a lot of students in my year talk about how they loved the dancing. Others said they enjoyed how they incorporated us, the audience, into the show like having us clap to the beat of the music at Fezziwig’s party. One of my favourite parts of their play was when they read out direct passages from the book while the other actors did the actions for it. I personally really enjoyed seeing them doing technical things which others may not have noticed like setting up some of the set and one of the actors/actresses putting things in places for someone else to pick up. The whole play ran smoothly with no mistakes, clear words and indications. This show was an absolute 10/10! I hope we see more of them.
