The Design Technology Club runs on a Monday and Tuesday after school until 4.30. It is always great to see new students coming in and working on new ideas, plus our regular students are always on hand to give help and guidance to any queries. We are still looking for students to come and help grow our Scalextric in schools and fund raising shop.
One of our big successes as a department over the last three years has been the growth of the Arkwright Scholarship programme in the School, with seven successful candidates over this time frame getting the boost of additional funding in their 6th Form studies and a mentor in industry. This is open again for Year 11 students, but for Year 10 and 9 students who are interested in a future in Engineering, it is something that we would encourage them to look into sooner rather than later.
