Mission Statement

Science is a process not just a collection of facts. We wish our students to develop mastery of a demanding curriculum across all three sciences and thus to develop a comprehensive substantive and disciplinary knowledge as well as an inquisitive mind. Students will leave with a solid understanding of how the world around them works as well as developing practical techniques and understanding of the scientific method. As students progress through the key stages our curriculum will embrace the deviation of content between the three science disciplines whilst maintaining the commonality of the scientific method. We aim to equip them to investigate, question, challenge and improve the world around them and help to advance the world of the future. We wish to engage their imagination and curiosity through the use of contextual problem solving so that the questions themselves become more interesting than getting the correct answer.

Science is the best subject. We get to carry out experiments and use laboratory equipment. I love learning about how living organisms work, why things move and all the different types of chemical reactions. Its great fun!!
